Standard Patient Care is for patients who are recovering from surgery, recovering from an illness, or a patient that has an established chronic health condition but does not require specialty medical therapeutic interventions. Our trained caregivers (also called nurses) are caring, skilled and professional staff that provide care, support, and help for your loved one through their recovery at home or in the hospital.
This could be your loved one needs help walking, reminders for medications, hygiene support, or perhaps companionship while on the mend. A great opportunity for your loved one to have someone who will remind them to keep their daily routines and to take care of their emotional health by being a caring presence each and every day.
Medication Support: Administer prescribed oral medications and medication schedule on time and keep a health record (BP, sugar, etc.).
Personal Hygiene Care: Assisting with bathing, grooming, oral care, and toileting in a way that maintains dignity and cleanliness.
Meal Support: Supervising feeding routine, serving 3 well balanced meals, and accommodating dietary restrictions prescribed by MD.
Mobility Support: Assisting with walking, light exercise, or transferring loved one, from bed to wheelchair to avoid complications of sitting in bed too long and developing bedsores.
Vital Signs Monitoring: Daily Monitoring of temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and reporting any abnormal observations of your loved one's condition to family members and/or doctors.
Emotional Companionship: Talking about favourite subjects, light reading for patient or recreations to support mental well-being.
